Satsklep taking the piss

Went to order a new card from Satsklep last week which was priced at €457 for 15 months viewing. The card was at that price for at least the last month as I had been keeping an eye on it. I sent them an enquiry about the card I wished to purchase and was then told the price was now €605 with no explanation given for the additional €150. The website price was also adjusted the following day. They have refused to answer my emails regarding the sudden price discrepancy since last week. Poor customer service. Wont be dealing with them again.

Satsklep are normally reliable. I presume it's a Cyfra card you are buying.

Last time I checked they were charging the same price that Cyfra charges if you were to buy off Cyfra direct.

Fair play to the board members they were right! Just got a confirmation email, the package was "executed" in their words, earlier today, ye it is a cyfra card, hopefully theirs no boggles with it now, ie activation, updates, ect.

Aye, I have dealt with them in the past and had no complaints bar their delivery method of land as opposed to air. Usually a response is forthcoming within a day at most, but now, several emails on, the discrepancy has gone unanswered which leads me to believe that they have no intention of replying to my questioning on the additional €150 which they have added to the price. As I said, this is poor customer service.

Are you sure it wasn't 12 month cards when you last looked because it was 12 month cards a week or so ago.

It's a good company from my dealing with them. It's better to phone them direct and they will transfer you to someone who speaks English and they can sort things out. Answering emails is not their forte. Written anguage barrier,

Update: I finally got a response to my emails after 15 days!

They said that Cyfra had changed the packages the day before I ordered apparently.

By that stage I had already sourced a different company in Poland and ordered a 12 month Full Package HD for €360.

This is the company I used if anyone wants to give them a go http://cardsplitter.pl/bcyfra-prepaidb-c-37.html?sort=&currency=EUR

I used Google translate for help filling in the order form.

EDIT: Just had a look on Satsklep and they have changed their cards yet again. The €605 card no longer appears and they are charging €442.57 for what appears to be the same 12 month full HD package I just purchased for €360 from Cardsplitter.

cardsplitter doesn't sound like a very legit name to me. It's sounds as if they tried to translate "card sharing" to Polish and then from Polish back to English

    same legit name as Satsklep.
As per Polish law you are not allowed to receive any of the tv channels ofered by Cyfra+, N, Cyfrowy Polsat outside Polish borders.
To register with any of these companies you must have address in Poland. Not sure about 2 other, but Cyfra+ doesn't even have a phone line you can contact them on from abroad.

So you can only imagine how does these shops in Ireland register new customers.....

PS. If it was legit place you should be able to pay monthly, not for 1 year up front. ..

I could stand corrected but I thought the recent court ruling made it okay for domestic subscriptions to be bought anywhere in EU

Well I can confirm that the card arrived and that it works. They activated it within 2hrs of me emailing them to inform them it had arrived. Also the option to pay thru paypal so you are protected if anything goes wrong. I dont really know what more you could ask for.

There was a court case in England about it. A pub landlord went to court over having foreign tv being shown in her pub. I think the court found that it was okay to purchase a foreign subscription but not for public viewing in a pub due to copyright issues with football logos and on screen graphics.

There is a thread about it somewhere on boards.

I might have been wrong about the cardsplitter website and it probably is legit as much as satsklep. It's not a good website to navigate if you don't speak polish though.
