    Hi all,

I want to tighten a nylon lock nut onto a hex head bolt.

Do you just get two wrenches - one for tightening the nut and the other to hold head of the bolt in place while tightening?

Sorry for obvious question, I'm not used to lock nuts and they seem to require a lot more force to tighten. Is that normal?

    You got it.
The lock bit is just to stop it opening.

OP, that image appears to be a self-locking nut. Is there a small nylon section in the bottom of the nut? If so, you probably wont need a locknut.
