Can anyone give me a ball park on this.

Can't be without car but not sure I can afford to get it done.

It is still driveable but been told it could be dangerous to drive

Buy a clutch kit online and then pay an indie to carry out the work. labour 200-300

If you leave it long enough the car will eventually become undrivable. The longer you don't replace the clutch the more damage you're doing to the flywheel as well. That said, if it's only starting to slip, you'll be alright for another couple of weeks depending on your driving as long as you don't go mad with the accelerator. But do get it replaced as soon as you can afford to do so! I must say an 08 is a bit young to be needing a new clutch alright.

Thats what I thought too. I have been driving a long time and don't overuse clutch by any means.

It's about 5 hours on a petrol Zafira B I reckon. An average independent hourly labour rate would be €50 plus VAT.
