Not all apartment blocks have UPC...have u tried just hooking up your sky box in the apartment quite likely the feed mite already be active.

Don't settle for less than 50% off for 12 months. You'll have $ky over a barrell when you call, so don't be afraid to say No, if they come up with less. Keep reminding them you have an alternative. Do not disclose what you will have to pay UPC.

Price for sky changes every second day which makes it a pain in the backside for us installers, the current price is €79 for new customers, however existing customers do not get looked after as you got a box subsisided when you joined.

I cannot speak for other installers but €100 to connect the cable to a communal system definetly seems excessive to me unless its not easily done...it really depends on the apparment block.

I got a fantastic offer when Sky rang. I told them that I hate them and will never resubscribe. They were a little surprised that I hated them, but I explained my reasons and they offered to remove me from their contacts. I gladly accepted.

Lesson of the story, be prepared to negotiate!
