Max tyre pressure for this rim

I have these rims (see attached), noticed there is a max tyre pressure rating for the rims, i think 110psi Why is there a max presure for the rim, whats happens if pressure exceded

Higher pressures put more force against the side of the rims, it can basically rip the rim apart when you have the pressure above safe limit.
You wouldnt even need 110psi for a hybrid/700c mtb tyre.
