Ah but the average Joe Soap doesn't have the connections they do!

Firstly, I'd question the relevance of the plate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,199 ✭✭✭CardBordWindow

Before I answer this, do I get to keep the plate also?

Buy a very big milkshake. Then put it in a bank and wait for the interest. Mmm the taste of not poverty.

I'd ask,' Why aren't my cornflakes in a bowl. How the **** am I supposed to pour milk on them'?

Secondly I'd ask,' Why only 50 cornflakes, that'd hardly feed a Somalian'.

I am afraid I would do the boring thing and lash it off my mortgage...

Amazing the difference 50k would make to me long-term.

you wont make much interest in a bank these days. :(

better off investing it in something else.

i'd buy a cheap house for €50000 then do it up to live in it.

Well it's still better than hiding it under the mattress. Hopefully.

Take a career break for a year or more, and travel everywhere I've always wanted to go. Everywhere possible in 12-18 months. I'd fly to NYC and go through all the big cities on the way to Chicago, then do Route 66 across the States taking me 2-3 months. From California, go to Tijuana and trek through Mexico down through Central America, into Colombia and and see as much of SA as possible in 6 months. Then I'd fly from there to Spain and interrail all through Europe for 3-4 months, and go in through Eastern Europe into Russia, where I'd do the Trans Siberian Express through to China. Once I'd spent 2-3 months doing that I'd head for SE Asia and spend another 3-4 months there. And then on to Oz/Canada to go back to work!

Id buy an electric car in UK and bring it over (cheaper), then Id buy a windmill for powering the house, and the batteries for the car

    Give somebody planning permission.

    Oh to dream....

OK, €16K on a college course I want to do. That would be the first thing.

Then I'd book a holdiay for myself and my friends that have had to put up with me being miserable for the last year :D

The rest I would keep for motgage payments etc :)

holiday to barbados for about 3k, a car for 15-17k, throw a party for about 5k in my house and use the other 25 odd grand for a down payment on a new house.

I'd ask for a plastic bag or something to put it in, as stuffing it into my pockets would ruin the line of my suit.:):):):)

Well in a perfect world I'd make a plan. Like this bit on a nice car, this on a nice cruise, this on a nice african child to make me look good, this on cigars etc...

But in reality I'd probably just spend it all on drugs. About 30% up nose & 70% into a few veins.

Then I'd probably end up smoking cracking, because I blew all my money speed balling & have to become a male prostitute to feed my habit.

No, 50K for me please. I'd rather my dignity.

Kinda of a standard answer but I'd probably organise a couple of months off and go travelling. There's lots of places I want to visit soon.

To paraphrase George Best, you'd spend 49k on that, and waste the rest? :)

Pay off my rather significant debt.
Spend it on a college course I'd like to do.
Any surplus left over couldn't really give a ****.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,085 ✭✭✭meoklmrk91

I would buy a nice car, nothing crazy, probably a Fiat 500..... Abarth :D
The rest would be put away for college, I want to be a vet and that **** don't come cheap.

that much could probably set you up nicely, double your money every few months, if you keep investing it, or keep things kinda low-key, and have a nice income off it. Just weed and e, i dont think id even touch the coke, never mind the rest...

Boring answer - I would save €35,000 of it towards a house some day, I would spend about €5,000 upgrading my car and spend the other €10,000 on holidays and shopping.
