Brake pad warning light

05 Mini Cooper. Brake pad warning light came on. Front pads were down, so i fitted a new set, but i forgot to get a new sensor(will have new one on sat.)

So in the mean time i just connected the two sensor wires together, thinking this would turn the light off the dash, but the light is still on.

Is there some way to turn the light off, or do these work in a different way than i'm thinking?

Eh, you're getting a new sensor on Sat, today is Thu, considering all the bother to get it done, it's a no-brainer really AFAIC.

Ye but i was just wondering when i put the new sensor in will the light stay on, and if so, is there a way to turn it off.

    Just wondering, that's all.

It's really handy that there is so much info out there for the Minis. Altho some of those American owners are OTT on some stuff! There's an Irish mini club for modern and classic minis if you're interested - miniclub.ie
