two questions, firstly has anyone come across the sensa brand before, I don't hear them mentioned on here too much?
And secondly I'm looking at this model http://www.sensabikes.com/product_info.php?cPath=4&products_id=473
with the idea of using the bike to work scheme to buy plus 300 to 400 of my own money, which of the upgrades would anyone recommend? Go tiagra and spend money on better wheels etc or go 105 and spend less on upgrading the rest of the bike?

    Hey,

I avnt taken mine out for proper milage yet so cant comment on them for that, althou the frame seems be standard you get anyway so not much diff from other brands. Id go over the grand if i was you and go 105, no point having all that fancy stuff and not even going at least 105 on groupset. 1,299 is fair idea of what you'd pay in ireland for it, note the tiagra doesnt come with same wheels, id go with the 105 and get pedals thrown and few bits in for 1,299.
PM me if you want anymore details.

Thanks for the reply, let me know how it feels when you take it out. Think I might go with the 105 and upgrade the wheels to mavic aKsuim and that should do me.

right so 65km or so ride on the sensa this morning

    http://app.strava.com/rides/5641586

mostly climbing roads, and some steep downhills to testing the bikes abilties.

First rolling away in saddle i noticed difference from my alu frame, much more stable getting out of the saddle and superior roll, saddle seemed comfortable and fitting from start probably did that good too. Found handle bar tape to be neither soft or grippy, wouldnt like it in the rain.

In the climbs the bike handles well, very nice when coming out of the saddle, slight issue with my gears in middle range will need sort out and gearing on compact not as low as i had on my triple so stocking lane was a fight.

On the descents the bike felt nimble, very useful when cutting a line on the worst of the roads. braking was good and bar when going down bumpy downhills felt very in control.

Like the bike looks nice and stands out.
