I've somehow installed 2 copies of Windows 8, one is fully working, one claims it's broken and missing a file, how do I delete the unwanted broken one? It comes up as an option on bootup

verify 110% it is a second install and not just a second entry in boot menu ;)

unlikely but if they have the same stuff on the desktop or the same theme when you change one, they are the same OS
