Did anyone notice that Cycle Bike, just off of Capel Street by the Luas tracks have expanded. I haven't been in yet but noticed from passing that their place seems to have at least doubled in size. It's pretty good news that somewhere at least is able to expand considering we're in such a crappy recession. It's also good news considering the recent closure of Cycological on the Quays. I'm guessing the BTW scheme has been good for them.

Have any other bike shops expanded or opened new branches lately?

That's gas I went by them this morning and I thought the place had closed down! The front had been all stripped, there was a lad up on a ladder, maybe there's a new sign going up then.

I think it's only happened this week. There's an art gallery along there and there was another unit. I can't remember what was there but it looks like they've expanded into that. I caught a peek going by (I don't pass that way too often) so will head in at some point during the week when work doesn't have me snowed under.

My wife said this to me yesterday that she thought it had closed down. She passes it every day and I have a bike on order. The lads posted a load of photos on the facebook page about the expansion so I reckon its just a change to the front of the store

I was in there yesterday and they far from closing by the looks of it. Shop has doubled in size and looks like a big showroom being done out the back as well.

Great to see. Just goes to show cycling really is getting big in Ireland. Plenty of retailers around the Dublin area anyway and they all seem to be doing reasonably well. Good to see. Have never been in the shop in question though.
