Hey all, just wondering if anybody got the sliding drawer units installed under their stairs, are they worth it as they seem pricey?

Yeah was looking at these myself, They seem outrageous money to be honest. I think a simple press style cabinet could be fitted by a carpenter for much less.
Sure your only gonna put shoes and other crap in it.

Considered them strongly to help make best use of the space but for the price they were looking for I said no. I got a stairs and flooring installed in my attic for about the same money and it's made life so much easier and given me more space than under the stairs would have provided.

Cheers guys, great ideas. Ill def look into them. I didn't think they were really worth it for the size of space under a stairs.

    Seriously overpriced IMO.

Get a normal storage space and door built under the stairs and then go to Ikea and buy their metal slanted shelving unit, that is made for under stairs storage.

Costs about 25 euro, but its a great shelving system. It can be tilted and angled to suit any slope and angle.

Very clever indeed and you still keep the space under the stairs..

    Thats nice.:)

The shelving units Im on about screw into the back/underside of the stairs and then you can tilt and adjust the shelves at various angles so that you make good stroage use out of the underside of your staircase.

You can click on more shelves too, with out the need to drill any more holes.

Very clever idea indeed.and for feck all euros too.

What sort of bobs do you think for all of the Paddy? I would need to get a courier to deliver the stuff from IKEA but thats exactly what we could do it and I can fire it in myself.

I "think" it was around 25-30 euro per unit.

The minute I saw it up in Ikea,I thought it was a fantastic idea.:)

Ikea sloping brackets and shelves...for sloped walls (like the back/underside of a staircase).:)

The brackets are 6euro each and you can get shelves for nothing in IKEA

So could work out 18euro each = 2 brackets 12 euro (one each side) + shelf 4euro

but even just mdf cut into strips might make it work out cheaper

But if you can do without the storage love these
