Why would you want to spend that type of money on a log cabin that is most likely not suitable for this climate when you could have a blocks and mortar house built for close on the same price?

where are you based? planners often don't like them, and neither do many certifying architect/Engineer's as the construction code/regs are not exactly the same. you may find that when you really delve into the pricing that the foundations, waste treatment, services etc are not provided either..

the problem is i spent a lot of money on this site but could not get planning so about 3 yrs ago i pulled in a mobile log cabin no problems so far with council so i was think of putting in a more permanent structure and going via retention i have a young child going to school and from the area all my life, i didnt get planning because of old ruin but in the immediate years they have given planning permission for loads of windmills dotted around the area so any advice appreciated is it worth having a go again for planning but dont want to draw attention to myself either and end up having to move and no lectures please because i live in the real world and really had no other place to go or option

And we live in a real world also that is riddled with litigation.

See our forum charter....we dont encourage anyone to flaunt the statutory planning laws or allow any debate on same.
