i went down to check a couple of bull yearlings and one isnt well. its stiff and listless with no appetite .it did give a cough when i first seen it.
    it was fine this morning
. .they were dosed with ivomec about 4 wks ago for lice and fluke.

dont know about temp yet. put it in the crush in the morning and check it . oh fogot to say it was drooling saliva from its mouth . had no nasal discharge that i saw though it was gett ing dark at that stage, its dung was pretty ok and didnt see it piss.
could be a chill but theyve been out a few weeks in colder weather. change of weather sniffles , i hope

do cattle get 24hr bugs ???
both bulls looking off this morning . not grazing, standing motionless. so i put them in the pen , took their temp .( one was fine and the one that wasnt looking good last night was running at around 39.3). so off i go to the vet to get medicine and when i got back i could notice an improvement . jagged them anyway and let them out on new bud but they seem to be eating fine and moving better before any medicine could take effect.keep an eye on them tho.
    fingers crossed !

I think sometimes the stress associated with handling and penning a beast can make them look improved. They appear to rally but it's a false dawn.
I'd be a happier man with the meds in them. Hopefully they're on the road to recovery!
