Hope this is the right section..

Can anyone advise me of any companies other than bus eireann who travel to Dublin on saturday and sunday?

I have been looking up fares with them and its almost €4 more expensive to get a ticket from Mullingar-Dub vs Longford-Dub....which is ridiculous considering Mullingar is 45 mins closer to Dublin than Longford!
I know €4 might not seem like a massive amount of money but 1. I was hoping to pay €20 or less and 2. I would rather not give them any of my money if they really think its okay to charge more to folks who are closer to the destination..

I only know of one other company, Fureys, but they don't have a Saturday service unfortunately.

    thanks :D

www.irishrail.ie has €17 day return between Dublin and Mullingar after 9:30 on Saturday and all day Sunday; maybe it's of use to you.

If you can drive as far as Kinnegad Kearns' Transport do a cheaper fare. Not sure what the weekly fare is but it's €5 one way which is almost half the price of Bus Eireann

Thanks but I should have mentioned i'll be travelling up saturday night and back sunday morning (the earliest bus) so I can't get a day return!

The cheapest on Irishrail for that is €28.50 if I go to Dublin at 10am, or €30 any other time in the day.
    Bus Eireann are about €25

Thanks for the reply, not too sure if i'll be able to get a lift to Kinnegad but i'll try. The Bus Eireann ticket is €10 cheaper (€15) from Kinnegad-Dub VS Mullingar-Dub so thats a big saving!

    Only €20 from Longford-Dub but €25 from Mullingar-Dublin...madness!
