Yes.

Where you buy a Saorview product (the logo is in the link!) you can rest assured that the product meets the certification!

The Cush

The one downside I see with the Aldi/Lidl/Walker TVs is that the digital text can be painfully slow to load and as someone who has a family member who is hard of hearing and requires subtitles displayed at all times, subtitles have to be switched off to load MHEG5 text.

Thanks to all you have replied and for the clarification.

I purchased one of these without the DVD player and gave it back a few days later, I found the sound to be terrible through the small speakers at full volume you could hardly hear it, agree withe the text its very slow. I bought a brand new Philips Saorview approved for almost the same price and its great.

That link is dated last September - those TVs would be long gone...

I understand that but it was used as a reference to highlight, they are on sale in a new store opening in the south east.
