    Folks

My ex and I lived together/apart , even different countries for the bones of 6 years. therefore there are ALOT of email communications . ome just general chat/catch up etc, some dealing with more significant things, and emaisl I would just like to save .

Could some one tell me a (relatively) easy way to gather al these together and save offline - also if I coudl save in some format I might then be able to print (PDF0 etc

I tried a few times to add the gmail address in a fresh install of MS Outlook in the hope of saving them from outlook but only a small percentage pulled over

It really is kind of important to me. So much so I would even dedicate a few weeks to doing individually , but there must be an easier way

Its not even possible in GMAIL to select email froma recepient and forward, so I could move them even to a separate email address

Anyways - thanks for reading, all suggestions appreciated

Try Thunderbird, you should be able to link the accounts and save locally from TB.

Meet Gmail Backup... guess what it does. ;)

It will save the messages as EML files, so you'll need a program like Outlook Express, Outlook or Windows Live Mail to open them. Alternatively, bulk rename the file extension to .mht and you can view them in your web browser.

Surprised to see it's that easy:
    http://www.gmail-backup.com/download

    1) Download the client from the website above.
    2) Specify location on your drive where you want the emails to be saved to.
