What has happened? He deleted his Twitter, Fb and Blogs! This might not do him any harm, considering the amount of time he spent on Twitter!
However, I hope he recovers from the misfortune of Istanbul, He is a serious talent and if he gets over this little blip, he has a strong chance of a medal in London.
What are peoples views on this?

I think it would be great if he made the finial. If everything goes perfect he should have a chance of doing that anymore is a bonus. Talk or medals at this stage are a bit hopefull.

I wonder if this article by Ian ORiordan had anything to do with it? I read it and soon after all mad Len's social media outlets were gone. He lurks around here now and again would be cool if he shed some light. I was enjoying his training/racing etc

A bit off topic, but reading that article, does IO'R really believe this? I'm as big a Derval fan as you can get but there is no way this is remotely true. A 12.72 had her clutching at the top 10 in the world in 2006. No more.

Agreed, sure the European champ Susanna Kallur was miles ahead of her that season in terms of times let alone the Jamaicans and Americans, possibly Felicien of Canada also.

Maybe Ian O' wasn't aware of those other girls. After all, he wrote last summer that he had never heard of Hannah England before the World Championships!!

Ah he's a good writer, and does his best to try get athletics into the mainstream, and faces a tough battle even to convince the editors at the Irish Times to even publish an athletics article. Overall, I'm a fan of his. Just annoys me when I see such incorrect facts being presented. It only takes a bit of research. A quick google search or something!
