Hi, I applied for the master of social work in nuig, and i just checked my PAC account and saids I have been put on a waiting list:( Would anyone no how long the waiting list is? and what is the likely hood of me getting into the course? I am just very anxious as I really want this.

It's very hard to tell on this one. NUIG often give their ofers out forst, and people accept, but then if they get an offer in another college, they might cancel the NUIG one and accept elsewhere..you really have no way of telling. You can try ringing Kay in the admin office in the SW dept, who is a very helpful lady and might shed some light, but it's unlikely.

However, if after all the colleges have offered places, you have heard nothing, ring NUIG and ask about any spaces; in my year, they didnt fill 2 places on the course, and said it was too late to offer the spaces to people (a further two people pulled out)..but everyone in the class thought this was bonkers and anyone of us would have accepted a place with even a couple of weeks notice. The college thought otherwise..

    Good luck
