I am just wondering what hotel people would recommend for a luxurious weekend away for myself and two sisters. We have got a pretty good price for a suite in the Ritz Carlton which would sleep three adults, so this is the fore runner at the moment. Just wondering if anyone has any other recommendations that we could check out? Have sort of been avoiding the likes of Dromoland and Adare Manor as I would be worried they would be a bit staid, but I am open to correction. I am aware that a lot of hotels can’t accommodate 3 in a room, so two rooms are fine. Not too worried about price, would want a spa for sure and the option of fine dining onsite. Any suggestions?

I've been to Monart destination spa a couple of times & really like it there, it's adults only, don't know if I'd describe it as luxurious but it's very nice and have found the food to be very good

They have suites in the old house (expensive)

Have stayed in Dromoland wasn't overly impressed but it was a while ago to be fair

    Monart a good choice.
Hayfield Manor in Cork might be worth a look too.

Thanks for all the replies, I will definitely look into Monart, like the sound of it being adult only, one of my sisters has 3 kids under 4, so think that would be a selling point for her! Although I’ve heard Hayfield Manor is beautiful and Castlemartyr resort also, but I am living in Cork so would prefer somewhere a bit further afield!

It's a great place to totally switch off & chill, it's robes all the way, you only have to get dressed for dinner if you wish to dine in the main dining room

    Works for me :D
