A provisional rankings list of relay teams has been made available by the IAAF outlining the current standings and the countries that are currently occupying the top 16 cut-off point for qualification. The women's 4x400m relay is specifically interesting from an Irish perspective and as it stands the Irish team is ranked 12th and thus inside the qualifying positions. One more fast time prior to London should ensure qualification for the Irish team. The two fastest times from each country are added together to form an aggregate, and the 16 countries with the fastest aggregated times are selected to go to the Olympics. Should be worth keeping an eye on this list as the season progresses:

The 4x4 girls are looking very good to qualify. I wouldn't be surprised if they improved on their 12th place finish from Daegu. A place in the final? A tough ask but why not. Aim high. Certainly possible.
