    Hi all,
was looking at various websites regarding manual jiggers/gurdies for mackerel. They are very expensive!500 to 1200 euro!
Does anyone have a simple cheaper "homemade" design?
    Thanks

Some of the best I have seen are the AFW fabrications ones made in the UK.
    http://www.afwfabrications.co.uk/
They are well made and pretty much maintenance free.
I have seen a few versions that leave much to be desired in fit and finish.
Remember that Monofilament line is dependant on the surface being in good condition for strength, once the surface gets abraded the strength drops dramatically.
Finish is everything, and frankly some of the vendors here are selling shíte for big money.
