    Hi All
Just looking for some advice, I am looking for a Church singer/musician for my Wedding in Sept. I have some particular songs in mind, but I'm not sure if many singers would do them. I have seen some of the songs on some singers websites but they are booked up.
The songs I am looking for are "Now we are free" - Theme from Gladiator, "Kissing You" - Des’ree, from Romeo & Juliet, "The Secret Wedding" song from Braveheart (just instrumental I think)
If anybody has any advice as to what singers/musicians would perform these songs, or any advice or info on good singers I would appreciate it
    Thanks

For my sisters wedding we used a singer called Valerie Woods. She was excellent and was happy to play pretty much any music we wanted.

She sings to backing tracks so was cheaper as well.

My sister walked up the aisle to the intro of November Rain and she used a lovely acoustic version of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica for lighting the candles so she was very open with the choices :)
She also learned any songs she didn't know.

Chris, any of the singers should be only too happy to learn the songs. The songs listed on sites are usually suggested songs.

Try and get youtube links or mp3s of the songs you wish to be sung, when emailing/contacting the singers, ask if you send them on will they do them.

The only issue might be backing tracks but the singers usually work with guys who can lay down tracks or play live off sheet. If you cant find someone who does this, pm me and I'll send you a couple of names who will do the tracks for you even if they cant do the day itself.

Check out Nikki Kavanagh, Philip Caffrey accompanies her on the piano and she sounds fantastic. Great make up artist too :)
