Does anyone know can Magpul Emags mid-caps be modified to accept just 90 bbs rather than the standard 120rd and if so, how? Seems its a requirement of Berget to modify the mag to 90rd

Just fill the speed loader with approx. 90 rounds; there should be markings along the side to denote bb number. Modding a mag sounds like a fairly one-way trip unless there's some little neat little side-step available.

Nobody is going to go around policing every player at Berget; there's just too many players. That's no encouragement to cheat either, but common sense should see you right once you aren't taking the p*ss. So I'd say either pick up a bunch of cheap 90-rounders, or just load 90-ish rounds into your rather expensive E-Mags instead of trying to butcher them.

In theory you could disassemble the mag and have a piece of plastic and add it in with the spring in the mag until it can only hold 90 rounds in theory it would work but I personally wouldn't try it as Lemming said just load 90 rounds

As Ronan said, mag dissasembly would be very easy, and you use some hard plastic (from plastic cleaning rod for example) to shorten the loading tunnel of the mag - there again, I`m kind of sure that you`ll get away with 120R mags anyway... its not like they`ll want to count the bbs in it.

However, IF they`ll decide to check up upon the mags, which I saw happening on some large MilSim`s, they`ll more than likely just look at the mag itself, and if it`ll be 120R... They may or may not believe in ''I`ve just loaded 90 rounds in it, I swear!''

Regardless, if you want to be sure, just get a box of 90R mags - they are not going to be any mad money anyway - however on the balance of things - you should get away with 120R mags, but if you want to be 100% - send them a quick email. Than you`re covered.

I understand they won't be able to check everything, 2,000 plus players are going this year, a new record but in saying that, cheating for the sake of an extra 30 bb's per mag isn't an option for me. I've invested to much in this trip to end up being labeled a cheat. I'd just rather not have to leave €400+ worth of mags at home and have to fork out more cash on low-caps when I know myself I can be trusted to adhere to the rules. And as you say, I'd rather not have to attempt to butcher them either;)

Someone on Berget forums has posted a vid for me on how to do this, I'll open 1 mag and see, but with 17 of them at the mo, it might be quite a job

I've emailed Berget about this, just awaiting their response. My idea was just to buy 3-4 90rd speed loaders and do it that way. I'm already way over my budget so buying more mags is a last resort, hopefully modifying the mags will be fairly simple, I just hope it doesn't come to that
