Based on the Druid's Heath vs Glen debate that's going on at the moment, I thought this might be of interest. It dropped into my inbox about 5 minutes ago...

"For the first time ever in Ireland Druids Glen Resort are giving golfers a chance to Win a Million with a hole in one.

On a nail-biting day on the 1st June approximately 75 golfers in total will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to win €1 million in the Shot In A Million competition. Any golfer with that immeasurable combination of skill and luck who gets a hole in one on the signature 12th hole will win €1,000,000!

Golfers who play golf on either Druids Glen or Druids Heath championship golf courses during Monday to Thursday from now until the end of August 2011 have the thrilling opportunity of being entered into an extraordinary new competition. Each day all players will be entered into a draw, from which the daily winner will be invited back to play in the Druids Glen Shot In A Million competition in June. You can also listen in to the Today FM Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show from tomorrow Tuesday 20th March to be in with a chance of winner one of 25 places they are giving away over the coming weeks

Golf Digest reports that the chance of an amateur getting a hole in one are 1 in 12,750. The odds of winning the Irish Lottery however are 1 in over 8M - 8,145,060 to be precise
    !"

And for a pic of the hole... set-72157622354055409

    So, who fancies their chances?

You know, I tried inserting it, importing it, adding the HTML and BB Codes, and nothing worked... I have yet to figure it out and short of putting the photograph on the computer screen and then stamping on it, I give up!

I'd love to see someone win it. I guess we all would.

They are sort of saying , we know nobody will win it.

Just looked up Marriot's Revenue 11.7 Bil US $. They can afford it I guess.

Looked up terms, you have to give up you amateur status to take winnings. (lol).

Think the Marriott have pulled out of Druids a few years ago now. I'm playing there Saturday week but you can only enter this comp is you are playing Monday-Thursday!

As par 3s go, the 12th is actually quite easy but given how much is at stake, the cameras, crowds and nerves, your odds diminish rapidly!!

    Can be done though....
