People are using all kinds of airsoft guns. :p You can find an airsoft model of all but the most obscure firearms. Best bet is to decide what you like the look of and go with that.

I've a list here of airsoft sites, which I try to keep up-to-date. It's got every airsoft shop in the country that I know of, bar one that I wouldn't trust with a €5 pistol. Have a look through their sites and just come back with any questions you've got. It's more convenient than asking us what we like, as the key factor in buying an airsoft gun is personal preference for how the gun looks. Performance and all that is only really important later when you know the sport better.

There are more retailers in this country, per capita, than people.

Hey there, I would recommend that you go with a local retailer.... I say this for a number of reasons.

    1. No hidden costs. (when you buy from outside Europe you may pay duty and import charges on the item)

    2. As Ireland has a 1 joule limit on Airsoft guns, anything that you buy outside of the country may need to be adjusted by a local professional (thereby again costing you additional charges that you may have saved on the cost of buying local)

    3. Customer Service and repairs. Anything bought in ireland is covered under the supply of goods and services act (of 1983 I think) and as such if for any reason your item breaks or becomes faulty you have comeback that you may not get outside of ireland.

    4. Keeping money in Ireland and supporting local business. (we all have to do our bit)

Again these are just some things to keep in mind. If you have any questions about the above drop me a line and I will happily look into it for you.

    Regards.

    Mike Aka Outlaw.
