Am looking for directions / info on best way to backup a PC Computer game. The game has been bought (Batman Arkham City), have activation code so have the right, I believe, to create a backup copy; don't want to have the origional disc in the laptop drive all the time.

Need name of free program that will enable me to do this.

    Cheers

Make an ISO of the disc and mount it as a virtual drive with PowerISO

Use the activation code with steam, that (I Think) will download the game and allow it to run without a CD after activation. No links to cracks/no cd patches please folks

The download will be a similar size, if not a bit bigger.

It doesn't use your internet connection though, so once installed it should run the same as it would if installed from the DVD.

Content on Steam is same as on dvd's, some people just prefer to download it instead of going into the shop cause they're lazy

Just download the whole game from steam when you're in your new location, install it and play

you will have to create an account on steam then download it from there by entering the serial you got with the dvd

i never played this game online so cant tell really whether bad connection is going to affect the gameplay, but it usually does ;]
