    Hi Guys

Does anyone use one of these barrels? I was wondering if there was any benefits over the traditional tight bore that we are all so fond of.
It would be interesting to see if there were any scientific tests done on it, most of what I can see from the web is opinion.

There is a good test here . The AEG is set on a rucksack though and not locked down so it may not be 100% accurate.

These barrels are designed for the sub 1J market so that should suit us down to the ground, it would be especially useful for a sniper.... if it works.

Let me know what you think :)

I have a couple of them, which says a lot really but their effectiveness does depend on your style of play. They're really at their most effective on single fire. You might not see a massive increase in range but I did get a better consistency in groupings. The standard diameter is 6.08 so you probably will find that the fps will drop off a bit. The barrels are quite thick and do give a good seal with any of the hop up units I've used them in.
