    If I remember correctly, HWVS have a one year warranty on items already, and then the component's manufacturer usually give a longer warranty of 2-3 years.

    Just checked the site, here's a google translated statement:
    VII warranty

    The statutory warranty in the Civil Code (BGB). The warranty period for new products is 24 months (§ 438 paragraph 3 BGB) from delivery date, twelve months for used goods from delivery date.

    The warranty is void if surges, misuse, physical damage, failure to follow instructions and use in intrusion by unauthorized persons by hardwareversand.de.

    So yeah, get 12 months warranty from there. I'm assuming I'd need to call and hope I get an English speaker, or e-mail them if there's a problem, but is there any extended warranty I can get?

    I might just e-mail and ask later..
