Great news for microbiologists. A permanent microbiology post in a HSE scientific laboratory in the analysis of food and water has just been advertised. Full details at the HSE website, Working in the HSE, Find A Job.

    Hi,

If your qualification is clinical micro, ie medical laboratory-based, there are very very few such jobs available, due to the moratorium on public sector jobs. Would you consider working abroad for a few years? There are jobs in this field in Canada, Australia and New Zealand-also in the uk, but the pay for med labs there is lousy, unless you can get agency work there..

    Best of luck,

    Daithi.

    Hi,

    Thanks the answer.
I used to work in environmental laboratories. I don't have pharma experiences. I was thinking about new Zealand, but to move there alone sounds me really scary..
    :(
