Just wondering what other boards.ie members think

We are soon to hit a €1.70 per litre of petrol and like good old Irish folk we just sit back and take it.

The higher the petrol price goes the more tax so the Government is happy out.

Do we accept the inevitable and that is very soon we will see €2 per litre on the forecourts?

Look around your neighborhood on a sunny Sunday afternoon and see how many cars are parked up, even going for a Sunday spin is only done after much deliberation, Can we afford it??? :(

With taxation upon taxation and charges upon charges all we are doing is robbing peter to pay paul.

The Government must realize that even though they don't control the price of oil they could reduce tax on the price of petrol and thus protect the consumer in some way shape or form.

It might be a naive suggestion but with higher and higher fuel costs, taxation, utility charges - you can only bent a branch so far and then it breaks and I fear that very soon ordinary citizens of Ireland will be at breaking point.
