Great article on Graphene in the Irish Times
Graphene: from relativistic quantum theory to future electronics
    www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/atomium/2012/2012031102.html

It is technical in places, but should be understandable by most.

I first read about graphene last year on wikipedia
    www.en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Graphene
and was just blown away by it's posible future uses, everything from a high strength construction material, with absollute zero electron properties for integrated superfast electronics to solar PV cells.
One futher application has been speculated to be a paper-thin, like an ipad device that can be roled up.

The article is about the Daric equation and spintronics.

That was pretty interesting reading. Especially about electrons in graphene having an extra quantum number, or valley index. Never came across that before.
