hey , was just curious to see what you CoD fanatics have done to make your gameplay that bit better, eg. turning off theatre mode, pppoe/settings.

because as we know a good connection is the difference between happiness and Aaaah WTF!!!

also , I only play Mw3 , so if anyone wants to add , feel free to pm me. thanks

i had theatre mode off when there was lag issues at launch but it doesnt seem to affect it anymore.

usually if I'm playing sh1t I just turn down the sensitivity, relax and try build smaller streaks instead of running around like a lunatic

I had the sensitivity on low a couple of times , I find it tricky enough when someone runs by to track them and give them the deadly.

I've been meaning to turn off aim assist for a long time now but keep forgetting.

It wrecks my head when you're aiming at head height, the enemy moves and suddenly your crosshairs are moving all over the place

Turning aim assist off doesnt even turn it off properly. Go to a private game, put friendly fire on and try to shoot your own team mate, that's no aim assist.

Why would I want it on?

I can't imagine turning it of would do anything positive for your games. As annoying as it can be, it's probably responsible for 80% of your total kills

Doesn't help half the time you can be shooting for that long-shot and as said someone runs past and throws the aim off the person your shooting mwwww!

Playing without aim assist is tough. Especially if you run and gun a lot

Two of the better players in my clan swear by turning aim assist off. They've had it off since COD4. It takes a while getting used to according to them but you'll improve when you do....allegedly. I can't face going 6-25 for a few months just to see if that's right. My aim is pretty attrocious as it is.

As I've already said, it doesn't even turn it off fully. But trust me on this: aim assist helps you in 99.9% of situations.

Sure, I'll give it a shot anyways and see how it goes - don't knock it til you've tried it :pac:

Just remember to report back with your tales of woe.

Guns from NGT turned it off by accident once and nearly gave up gaming. Have to agree with Adam it doesn't make sense that it could assist you on balance by turning it off.

Gonna turn it off now and see what happens ...

Ok, unless I'm completely blind (very possible) I can't see an option in online MP to disable??

I turned it off in black ops and was horrible... hard to get kills and didnt help my gameplay whatsoever.

After playing for over a week had to go back to normal assist. The change from aim assist on to off was fun though... couldnt hit anything at first... spraying all over the place
