Anybody think the European tour is getting a bit left behind? I find myself for the first time watching more and more US golf. I guess were Rory goes I'll watch. I still watch any golf, but the stars are gone west.

Welcome to the world of golf, this has always been the case, bigger sponsors = more money = where the best players play.

Yes it boils down to that these days.

But, the mid 80s there were more complex issues.

Are we saying , way of life, golf courses, family, style of golf, political views, history, art, weather, culture are non factors.

Sorry a bit brain freeze. All about the money - your right. I'm wrong again.

Timing .. I find myself watching the PGA tour as the times suit me a lot better...

It is a lot easier for me to sit down at 9PM on a Sunday and catch the final 9 holes compared to 3PM.

In terms of viewing the US golf, I agree that people tend to watch it more as it is on in the evenings here.

In terms of the players playing in the US, I think it is the best possible preparation for the Masters. They are playing in great weather, very little wind and the courses are firm. This is what you would expect in the Masters.

I'm just surprised that the likes of Robert Rock and Mannassero aren't over there.
