Hi can anyone recommend the best value TV/internet package - I intend to be in the house long term - north Dublin area - should I purchase a satellite and get mobile broadband or go with service provider ie UPC? I would be happy with basic channels - about 10 RTE BBC etc and for internet as long as I can video SKYPE that would be sufficient - I prefer not to be paying huge monthly bills

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

UPC is possibly the best deal. There Cable Broadband couple with their basic analogue TV service should suit you. (Not sure if they actively sell the basic analogue service still, though I think their basic digital is cheaper).

Broadband alone is worth UPC IMO. You could always just mix and match UPC with Free-to-air Satellite and Saorview. Monthly bill for 25MB is ~40euro. (if long term FTA TV is best solution IMO.).

Free To Air Satellite includes BBC, ITV and Channel 4 channels with Saorview providing RTÉ 1, 2, TV3, TG4, RTÉ News Now, 3e, RTÉ 1+1/RTÉjr

UPC for Internet (The Analogue TV is rubbish) and Saorview + "Freesat HD" For TV (both free). You are mad to pay for Subscription TV unless you really must have Sky Sports.
