    Hi,

I am planning ahead here and looking for advice on a good place to have a christening in Kilkenny. Good food and bar with maybe an area for kids to play in like a pool room or something to keep them entertained.

the ormonde hotel have good food and bar and a kids club. plus there parking across the road so you dont have to have to walk far with babies and small children and buggies etc.

    Hotels do christenings?

Well I guess the church is finally catching up.

I think the OP was asking about the meal / drinks after the christening.

OP try the orchard house. There's a playground outside and full length glass windows so you can keep an eye on the kids while you get plastered.

We had ours in the Aspect (one in the retail park on the Waterford retail park).
Lovely food, plenty of parking. Ok no kids play area, but fine big gardens just outside restaurant.

Was at a christening reception in The Brog Maker recently, excellent service and we had a room all to ourselves and plenty of parking :)
