I'M looking to fit a removable link to my 9 and 10 speed chains for easy removal and cleaning. Are both of these compatible with both Shimano and Sram chains, and any ideas as to which is best value and more importantly, easiest to remove when neccessary, without opening when not required to do so.

SRAM Powerlink is 9sp and reusable.
SRAM Powerlock is 10sp but is not reusable.

I'm using a 10sp Wipperman with Connex link and it's very easy to take on and off with light finger pressure.

The Wipperman Connex links are pretty nifty alright. Although powerlinks are decent too, one came with my SRAM chain.

I changed the kmc split link for a powerlock as it was causing the chain to skip on occasion. It was towards the end of life of the chain so it possibly suffered too.
Shame that the powerlock isn't reusable as it is very handy for cleaning.
