Photographing something minute

Hi, I bought a ring online for my OH and when I brought to a jeweller to get it checked out he noticed a hairline crack on the underneath of the box which is where the diamond is set.

Now the crack is not visible to the naked eye and I could only see it when he showed me through his loupe however it makes the ring liable to crack further down the line.

In order to get any joy out of the supplier I need to send him a photograph of the damage and I have no idea if I can get such a photo taken or if it's even possible.

Can anyone put me right ? I'm in Dublin.

    Many thanks.

    Hi Joe,
most point and shoot cameras have a great macro shooting mode, you can put it in macro mode by selecting the flower symbol either on a circular dial on the top of the camera or throught the menu.
