With no majour issues 350 euro. Dont buy the suite in b&q without buying a low pressure ball valve and checking that the pressure of the taps go dow to 0.2 bar.

I would say slightly more. There is no such thing as a straight swap and wastes have to be diverted slightly so some fittings needed and so on.

Thanks Joey and Johnnie. That's good information. I'll check out the bar rating and pricing on the taps and look for a low pressure ballcock.

Dont forget also the fittings issue mentioned above. I know some plumbing suppliers have stopped stocking some of these adaptor fittings as a lot of trade was being lost to the North and possibly B&Q.

I read JohnnieK's post to mean some additional standard fittings to allow for repositioning etc.and not something special. Are the B&Q suites not standard (except for high pressure taps and ballcock valves as mentioned by Joey) ?

I recently installed some B&Q stuff in a house re-furb in Rathfarnham before Christmas. The only thing I will say is one set of taps was missing a back plate, it was a mono block mixer. They gave him a new kit when he went back up to them. I had no problem with the rest of the sanitary ware, Armitage Shanks make the stuff for B&Q so it's good stuff.

It would be a good idea to have the furniture before the plumber arrives so he can check if all parts are present.

The most important thing for toilets is to make sure that the angle and fall of the wate pipe is correct.

I nearly replaced the toilets in the bathroom and ensuite, because I was convinced they were crap (excuse the pun) and useless.

Little did I know, that the original plumber had actually installed the outside waste wavin pipe in a manner that the water was actually flowing back towards the toilet,so both toilets would not get rid of the toilet waste and kept on getting blocked up.

Another plumber fixed it all for me in less than 2 hours (installed new wavin waste pipework and fast fill cisterns) and now I have very strong flushing and fast filling toilets.:)

So making sure the pipework is installed correctly is vital.

Just my 2 cents on the topic.
