Something not right there. I've seen wild boar with piglets in Bavaria in the wild and the sow will go app shit if she sees a human nearby. You best run in the opposite direction if you value your life.

Seen that video before. They are wild boar for sure. Young wild boar are brown and some are black and white. Forward the video to 60seconds and you will see the tusks pricing up its jaw/cheaks

Most wild boar can be very tame towards humans when they get used to seeing them so they would appear like pets to some

Turn on bio right now if you want to see some real wild boar and how vicious they are when cornered or protecting their young

Well his family were originally the O'Sanes ironically from Co Clare. My Dad worked with him on the dust cart before he got into politics. True story!

GENUINE WB piglets are NOT multi colourd! They have the traditional brown yellow "racing stripes" running lengthwise until appx 4/5 months, then they fade to a brownish grey of the adult coat.
Last time I saw that herd ,they did have genuine WB piglets, but they must have mated with Tamworths to get that weird colour scheme.:pac:
Shows RE the tusks that they are kept in an enclosure,as in the wild they get damaged and broken from fighting and rooting etc.Domesticated WB have enormous well groomed tusks:)

That lot would, they are nothing more than a semi tame herd of swine .
However go out into the wilds and corner a wild sow with her farrow and see what happens!!:P

Normally most wild animals protect their young if approached by anything who seems to be a threat but in general they can adopt to humans if they are fed or not inter-feared with. When they have no young they will run away more than likely

Wild boar get very tame or loose their fear for humanes when they are not hunted or shot at. Just look at whats happening in Berlin. Boar are moving into the estates and making a mess.

You could find a fence anywhere, boar do roam like mad,if you forward the video to 60seconds and look at the head of the sow its clear to see its a wild boar.
People do farm wild boar, people buy them and release them

he explanins they are not wild as in they don not roam free they are wild boar though.

here you go from the lad who filmed them

"I hope you reported this to the NPWS. boar/wildpigs are not cute little animals they are dangerous both to people and the eco system. they are also carriers of disease and can destroy an entire crop in days.

@pinhead1304 thanks for your concern, they are, however, fenced in and well treated in a stable environment, moved between different sections so that the ground can be left fallow. They are wild by breed, not by freedom to roam the wilderness.

Well I hope you reported him, It's such a stupid and selfish thing to do. Possibly endangering people trough both attacks and traffic accidents, the eco system and peoples livelihoods. All in the name of what a few free rashers. And we all know how it works here it's left untill the damage is done before anything is done about it. Save the boar hunting for mainland europe or the uk, sure is'nt it better to get away from the missus for a weekend and to experience different cultures/beers etc.. and have memories that'll last a life time, rather than wreck the country.

they were on donedeal for sale about 2 years ago in the right or wrong hands, they could be all over the country in no time. just look at England after the storm of 87 . i have shot them in turkey and they do some damage to farmland and gardens a like . but i have to say there is some buzz when they're driven at you.

Now,if you compare that to the rest of Germany outside the big cities, the pouplation is expanding, but not as out of control as Berlin is.Due to the inceease of corn and wheat being planted for bio ethonal fuel.
Like foxes WB can adapt quite well to the big smoke and multiply diametericly to their food supply.Which is a major problem both city and country wide.In fact the boar are now becoming a plauge, that there is big debate wether German hunters will be allowed to use NV to hunt.A big appalled shreik from the conservative German hunters on this "unsporting" method is raging at the moment.

You are..They are Tamworths!!The Tamworth is a "1st gen" domesticated by man wild boar breed.

Compared to the genuine wild boar piglet of about the same age!!
