Inside Approach Training Aid

Hi all, I'm surprised this hasn't come up before (or else my search function has let me down).... just wondering if anyone has any experience with this swing training aid - Inside Approach. I'm not a fan of gimmicks but this looks useful and it's gotten good reviews.

I seem to have a slight out to in swing and generally hit a fade with my Driver and 3 wood, 5 wood and down I hit straight or sometimes a bit of a draw and although I'm fairly consistent I think I'm losing a bit of distance and acknowledge that there's always room for improvement, so this swing aid could diagnose and possibly help improve my swing, but it doesn't seem to be readily available on this side of the pond.

McGuirk's, Halpenny and Nevada Bobs have no sign of it online, nor is there anywhere on ebay that ships outside of the US and the apparent official UK site doesn't work.

So does anyone have any experience of it or any have any knowledge on where one of these might be picked up?

    Cheers,
    Topper.

If this is true then I can't see how or why you'll benefit from this gadget.

They are doing a 15% discount for Paddy's Day :P
You need to check the shipping costs from USA!! Taxes/duty etc on $49.95, if any, shouldn,t be huge!

I'll try to work out something like that but I'm just a bit concerned in case I end up breaking my driver.

Depending on the direction you use it, it can cure an overly out to in swing or an overly in to out swing but I'm interested in it primarily for my driver with which I seem to have an out to in swing.

I'd prefer if I was able to get it from Ireland or even the UK though, as I imagine that with the size of the package the cost of shipping will make it too expensive.

If you only hit a fade with your driver and 3 wood then I'm not sure what the problem is. A fade is a good shot.......slice isn't good.

I'm not sure why you would fade a 3 wood and hit a 5 wood straight or with a draw........does your swing change? I suspect that you are pulling some of your shots and you think they are draws. But if you draw your 5 wood then you should be drawing your 3 wood and driver.

I suppose it's hard for me to hit a consistent type of shot with my woods as they're mostly different types, picked up over the years second had and as hand me downs. Ping G5 offset driver, Cobra 3 and 7 woods - one X speed, one F speed, and some old non brand steel shafted 5 wood that I keep on standby and only put in the bag when I lose confidence.

I would hit straight and fades with driver and 3 wood, straight and draws with 5 wood and straight and pulls with the 7 wood. This all sounds more erratic than it really is.

It's nice to regularly hit a fade off the tee and be nicely in the middle of the fairway but regularly when I'm playing with someone new and they see where my drives land they say they're surprised it wasn't further on, because they thought that I'd crushed it. The fade just seems to take a bit out of it and doesn't give it much roll.

I've read so many times that an inside to out swing can add up to 40 yards. I could do with any extra yards at the moment as I'm regularly 200 yards+ to the green on my second on par 4s on any decent sized course.

I'd love to be able to shell out for a few lessons, swing analysis and custom clubs but that coat hanger with a bit of foam on it is looking good to me for now.

I actually got a friend to record my swing while playing the other day and if there is an out to in element in my swing, it's so minor that I'm not sure the inside approach will have any effect.

I'll try a couple of home remedies in the next few days and if I think it will be beneficial to me I'll certainly be in touch.

    Cheers.

I appreciate the offer sandyhills but I've had my swing properly analysed and it turns out that my swing path is fine. I've made a couple of very minor changes to my swing since and couldn't be happier with my long game so I've no need for the Inside Approach.

    Thanks anyway though.
