    Hi guys,

Thinking of taking up a bit of cycling for the summer. Me back and hamstrings are a bit tight so I though it would be a good way of loosening them out a bit.

So I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for buying a fairly decent bike. I play a range of other sports so would be fairly fit. 6ft tall if that makes any difference.

I will only using it for a bit of leisurely cycling a few days a week and would prefer to buy something fairly decent that will last me a few years.

Have a budget of about €800.

Try to speak to someone who cycles regularly,
If there is a cycle club in your local area try to meet and get some advice from them,
thay will only be too happy to help,
Don't rush into buying a bike until you do some research and get advice specific to your needs,

Cycling is possibly one of the worst things for tight hamstrings, but don't let that stop you. :)

I went to the sports clinic the other week and got laughed at over the tightness of my hammers and the lack of straightness of my leg when lying on my back and stretching upwards! Hasn't stopped me though!

Are you buying new or second hand?
