All,

Was thinking of starting the above website, basically an exact copy of ratemyteacher.com but instead with our TD's & politicians.

Think it's time something like this was done so we can all see what each TD is really like & how good they are at their job / role.

Perhaps they'll take their job more seriously when they'r being rated.

I am wondering what the legal implications are for this ?
Can anyone tell me if possible ?

I could probably see them trying to take it down once it went up, then again I'd probably just host the site in Russia, then they have no power over the site.

Anyway - What does AH think about this, do you think it's a good idea ??

There are a couple of links in google if you try ratemytd.com or ratemytd.ie but no websites have been started with the links I found anyway.

Thoughts ?

It wont end well, people from parties will just slate others etc... it'll be a disaster

Everyone will give them a shít rating as that is the done thing. The only positive comments will be from friends, family members, and loyal members of the party. It will end up being a complete clusterfúck of defamatory comments and misguided opinions.

Might be interesting to have a site with the details of each TD, what expenses they've claimed, how many days they're in the Dail each year, what way they voted on issues in the Dail etc...

categories should include

1. Expenses Abuse
2. Actual work the politician does
3. Attendence record for Dail meetings
4. Corruption
5. Broken Promises / Lies Meter
6. Party they belong too
