Did it. Great great moment. He played very slow innings, but it was important to get this 100th 100 out of his mind. Now can we have our Original Sachin please.

Okay... it didn't happen at Lords.... it didn't happen in Sydney.....but it still happened

A remarkable achievement....he's been playing at the highest level for India since he was 15 years old....15!!!....his longevity is a testament to his greatness

Hopefully the Indian govt will see it fit atleast now to confer the Bharat Ratna (India's highest civilian award) on him .... as Warney said once - Collingwood got a MBE for scoring 14 runs!!!

Great man and IMHO the greatest batsman ever :)

Also it was a great interview after the innings. He said he was fed up with everyone talking about 100th 100 and forgot about 99 100s. I'm really happy that this is over now.

Missed this thread this morning. It was only when following the death of Mervyn Davies story that I picked it up this afternoon.

Well done to Sachin. He deserves the immortality it will bring.

Fantastic news, he really deserved it. Will it be on tv does anyone know?

The great man finally speaks about his future.....

This man simply lives and breathes cricket.....Long may he play on for India:)...and many people (including me) should shut up and stop telling him when to go!:)

Ironically Dravid's retirement has heaped more pressure on SRT now than ever before given how fragile India's middle order is!

After his 100th 100, he batted so well today without any pressure. He was very comfortable at the start.

And we have our next Tendulkar scoring 100s for fun.

Great to see Sachin do it. A terrific achievement.

The longer he was stuck on 99, the more of a distraction it became.

Well done, Little Master - here's to lots more centuries!

Sachin is truly the best!! He is the god of cricket and his 100th 100 is a slap on the face of all the critics of sachin.
