    Hi All,

I am returning to NZ a year after my WHV for work.

I have a job offer in the pipeline but I cant apply for for a visa for this job outside the country. As it stands I have to enter on a holiday visa and do a "stand-down period" before applying for my visa. This is because if I apply to soon after I enter on my holiday visa they will kick me out for lying on entry blah blah blah.

Anyways, my question is does anyone have experience of this "stand-down period". I think the wait time is 4-6wks but I cant find much about it on the net.

Or alternately, a handy way of getting a work permit in NZ!!

    Muchos thank yous
