I took a bit of a tumble yesterday and broke the metal clasp on my FR60. I need to get a replacement one and its proving a little difficult to source. The strap has also started to tear. The watch is less the then 15 months old. For the moment the watch is usable with the torn rubber strap. But not with out a clasp. Has anyone had a similar problem and been able to source replacement parts?

It seems this is an issue for others https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?t=4515 and https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?t=5274 and a few others. It appears you can't get the parts separately. Me, I'd be getting something like a nylon "NATO" style strap on ebay for under a tenner and using that. It'll last a lot longer, would be more resistant to sweat etc and they come in funky colours.

Thanks Wibbs, Its a bit of a joke you cant get a replacement given how espensive the watches are. When I replace this Ill be looking at a Polar

Edit: Hmm the NATO style strap may prove problomatic. The watch strap is and watch are all molded rubber. So there is no where to actually hook the strap. But thanks anyway. Image below

hae a similar problem. the watch was bought end feb 2012. strap on side of the buckle is now breaking. Not even 8 months lifetime...not exactly what i'd call a reasonable lifetime :(

talking to amazon at the minute to see what they'll do....but not overly optimistic
