    I hadn't thought about this until now since I had planned on using the bus like I did last time I had to get there, I have a 10am flight to the US so I plan on being there about 6/7 to get started since I have no idea what I'm doing but;

How do I get to Dublin airport at 6am?

I live in Ayrfield(near Coolock/Malahide road) and I want to avoid paying for a taxi since I don't really have the €20 to cover that.

Ask someone else going on the flight for a lift.

Do you really need to be there between 6am and 7am for a 10am flight? No real advantage in being at the airport before 8am for this flight. It would open up more transport options eg Dublin Bus etc if you planned a later arrival at the airport

its to the US seemingly so you would want to be there early for immigration and customs clearance

I will never cease to be amazed how people can afford to travel to the states (or anywhere else) then try to skimp on the cost of getting to the airport.

You could take a 27 to Busaras and jump on an Airlink from there. One departs Edenmore at 5:15am.

Alternatively (and cheaper) take the 27 to town, then from Abbey St take the 41 or 41b. You can pick up a travel90 ticket in a shop the night before which would cover the fare for both buses.

You are very close to the airport and even with a callout fee and Rate B it wouldn't cost that much

There are set price firms around Dublin that do an airport run from the other side of the city for twenty five euro. You may pay half that, haggle with them

Go look around your area, there are bound to be a few set price firms and even if you go on the meter it won't be much

All this hassle of going into town and back out again on bus routes to save what you'd spend on a sandwich, magazine and coffee in the airport

Thats aparantly a 4 miles distance
    Thats an hours walk.
    Walking is free
    Happy days.

you wont get a cheaper way to get to the airport morning or night.

The airport (even T2) is mad busy at security between 6 & 7, a lot of the business flights heading out for 1st flight of the day.

Aim to get to the airport for 7 am, check in for your flight on line to get a decent seat and no rush then to the check in desk etc.

Even with a US flight and immigration clearance 7.30 would be fine.

For the costs of a taxi the short distance you have it is not worth lugging any bags to town and back to get a bus.
