Injury Recovery Advice

Back at the start of January I badly dislocated a finger and did a fair amount of soft tissue damage. I had regained all the motion in the finger and was by and large pain free. Went back playing last week and it was not good. In the act of drawing back the club I'd feel a slight twinge in the finder and when striking through the ball and making contact with the ground it would send a sharp pain through my finger, needless to say I was an abomination and really need to get this sorted.

Any advice would definitely be welcomed!

Have you done any work / specific exercises to strengthen up the ligaments in the area? I stand to be corrected but ligament damage always requires some strengthening work to return to full strength. I think by their nature they will not heal fully if just 'left alone'.

There are good golf physios out there (I'm seeing one at present) that could help you.

    Best of luck.

PS I'd say you use every chance you get to show people that pic!

See a Physio or your Doctor, we're not qualified to give you medical advice.

I have to agree with mmcn90 on this one, you'll get lots of great advice on swings / balls etc here but a doctor or physiotherapist is the best person for you to see about your finger.

    Get well soon.
