    just looking to get an oil fired 100k stanley brandon range used for ch and cooker commissioned and just wondering what exactly does the commission man need to do,i think it needs to be done to hold its warranty.

    Never worked on an oil cooker. If you ring Stanley they would have a list of trained engineers that they could give you.

    You'll also find your local Oftec registered Engineer will be able to commision it, if you didnt have an Oftec registered installer fit it for you you would do well to have it commisioned by one, he'll point out any problems your installer may have left you.

    yea cheers,the coolwex we talked about earlier i wont be connecting range to coil on cylinder and i was told by another plumber that it needs to be going to coil if im getting it commisioned,i dont understand why,there is a dial on the range for hot water and one for rads,maybe both needs to be in use or they wont stand over it, would that be the case?

    Ranges generally require a heat sink to dissapate the heat. This would usually be a cylinder but it would be worth phoning stanley and describing your proposed setup.
