fujitsu -cant access the bios

    I have a fujitsu siemens scaleo-P with vista installed.

    it takes 5 minutes to boot and get me onto the desktop, so i am reinstalling a clean copy of vista.

    it seems to get so far into the installation and then crashes.

    i want to get into the BIOS to see whats going on but it never works off F2, is there another way of getting into the BIOS.

    i tried to do a safe mode reboot in all 3 options and it says it is unable to restart in safe mode-WHY?

    i know vista is crap but its all i have for now
    i have the restore disk so i am trying it from that end

    As far as I know F8 is to get in to Safe Mode, F12 is to choose boot priority, maybe the Delete key?

    First thing coming to mind: USB legacy support not enabled, then you may need a p/s2 keyboard to enter the BIOS.

    Some wireless/usb keyboards do not work trying to access the bios. The reason for this is that certain drivers that are needed are disabled/unavailable in that particular bios configuration. If possible pick up a wired/ps/2 keyboard and try that instead

    Thanks for that help guys.I will root around for a keyboard here or pick up a new one tomorrow nd see what the EFF! is going on:confused:
