Having a bit of hassle changing from low to high gearing on my bike. Could it just need a cleaning? Its not that dirty as it was cleaned recently enough but im just wondering would there be another reason it wouldnt be shifting freely? I have to slide the shifter about 3 times and sometimes it will shift straight away but others i could be waiting 10 seconds.
    Appreciate any advice

Or could the FD be on the way out?

Could the cable be sticking? A bit of lube may help. It may also need a slight adjustment (tightening) if it's stretched a bit
